Amazon owned- streaming platform Twitch has been the victim of a data breach which reportedly divulged confidential company information as well as earning/finance information related to their streamers, according to BBC.
Per an official statement issued on Twitter, the company said it would “update the community as soon as additional information is available”. The documents, which were shared in online forums, reportedly show show payments made from August or September 2019 to October 2021.
Those behind the leak also claimed to have the source code for the Twitch platform itself.
“We can confirm a breach has taken place. Our teams are working with urgency to understand the extent of this. We will update the community as soon as additional information is available. Thank you for bearing with us.”
