Pinterest has officially announced that it will be ending it’s Creators Awards program with an incentive offering that is set to shutter sometime later this week, according to a report from The Information.
The program, which offered cash bonuses whenever content creators completed goals such as hitting certain engagement metrics and milestones, is being eliminated as the company rethinks it’s structure in the midst of economic downturn.
Per the report: “After the program’s conclusion on Wednesday, [Pinterest] will pay a one-time bonus to creators in the program who participated in at least one reward goal in August, September or October, a Pinterest spokesperson said. The company declined to share how much it was giving away in bonuses or how many people were part of the creator rewards program.”
