If you’re ordering out using DoorDash in the near future make sure your tip is sufficient as a newly viral TikTok video teaches us, there are DoorDash drivers who may choose to eat your food if you don’t tip well.
In a brand new TikTok clip lasting around 20 seconds, TikTok content creator and Dasher doordashtips2 took to the camera as he opened up a customers food, and began eating it while complaining about the $1 tip.
“DoorDash customer only tipped one dollar, hmm let’s see what he got at Arby’s huh?” he said in the video. “Beef and cheddar, he’s got the french dip, and the crinkle fries. Oh man, that’s my favorite.”
“Thank you $1 tipper! Peace.” he said while laughing.
Since posting, the video has collected over 600,000 views and over 25,000 likes and received plenty of feedback in the comments.
“A tip is a tip be thankful that money in your pocket might not be much but it’s the thought that counts. There are people who don’t tip” one comment read. Another commenter added – “Tips before getting food is crazy.”
On the flip side, the drive did see plenty of support with one comment reading – “Tip your delivery drivers. If you can’t afford a tip, don’t eat out,.”
