The big news in the world of streaming is the departure of Pokimane from the Twitch streaming platform and her immediate move, at least temporarily, to YouTube, and now some other prominent Twitch streamers are sharing their thoughts.
One of Twitch’s biggest streamers, Asmongold recently shared his thoughts on Poki’s departure from Twitch and added his belief that she will be “better off” streaming and creating content on YouTube than she would be remaining on Twitch.
“I think it’s a better idea for her to go to YouTube. It seems like she wants to become a much more mainstream content creator and not focus primarily on gaming,” Asmongold said (h/t Dexerto). “She’s done multiple collaborations over the past two years expanding her influence outside the gaming space.
Asmongold also pointed out that Twitch is “male dominated” which creates difficulties for female streamers such as Pokimane.
“On YouTube there is a massive, vibrant, huge, drama-filled f%#king community of, for example, beauty community” he continued. “I thought WoW was bad, I thought Twitch was bad, holy sh$t!”
