Kick CEO Eddie Craven took to social media on Thursday to announced the requirements for the Kick Creator Incentive Program, which is now detailed and outlined on the official Kick Community website.
The Kick Creator Incentive Program is designed by the company to compensate streamers with revenue per individual stream. The platform goes on to say that they completed he prototyping process with 35 streamers, all of which spanned a wide concurrent viewership (CCV) range from around 10 to around 1,500 and included IRL streamers, gamers, musicians, artists and more.
Interestingly, Kick stated the following: “Kick is allowing Streamers to speak for Streamers and develop the kind of program that works for serious streamers and not out-of-touch-Corporations”, which seems like a clear shot at Twitch during the time of mass layoffs and the public statement from Twitch CEO Dan Clancy that the platform does not make a profit.
Regardless of Kick’s intentions, it is hard imaging that Kick will magically curve that trend, especially considering their own content issues, but time will tell if they can actually turn a troubling industry tide.
Here is what Kick is looking for:
- You must abide by Kick’s TOS, Community Guidelines and DMCA Policy.
- Your channel must be verified ✅ on Kick before applying to KCIP.
- Kick channel profile setup with relevant links to your social media and a filled in “About” section.

Additionally, there seems to be some limitations in regards to multi-streaming, a hot button topic among the streamer community due to how Twitch approached the topic.
According to Esports/Gaming reporter Jake Lucky, “Streamers in the Kick Creator Incentive program will be allowed to multistream to Tik Tok or Instagram, but not to Twitch or YouTube”.
It was later clarified that Kick streamers will be allowed to multi-stream to Twitch and YouTube, but it will not count towards the hours a streamer will be financially compensated for on the platform.
