During a recent stream on Kick between Adin Ross and Trainwrecks, the two Kick creators discussed the state of the platform as well as the industry in the fallout from Pokimane exiting Twitch earlier this month.
Since their launch as a rival video game streaming platform to Twitch over a year ago, the company has made headlines with big contracts to land premier creator talent from Twitch such as xQc and Amouranth, among others.
Ross went on to criticize Twitch, which he claims is in “shambles”.
Trainwrecks chimed in – “Look at us now. “Literal equity owners. The company’s doing so well right now. We’re good. We’re set,” Trainwrecks said.
When a clip of the conversation was posted by Jake Lucky, content creator social media buzzed when Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani claimed that the company “turned down” $1 billion, adding that “anything is possible”.
Unfortunately, nothing more was said, but it certainly generated a lot of chatter.
