The recent 100 Thieves’ song entitled ‘Echoes’ by singer-songwriter Ylona Garcia that featured popular female streamers such as Valkyrae and Fuslie has been slammed online by a number of people who believe that the song is overusing autotune.
Earlier this month, Garcia posted a teaser video for her upcoming song which featured cameos from the popular streamers in a rather unexpected collaboration with the 100 Thieves organization that generated plenty of buzz partly due to the fact that Valkyrae and Fuslie actually sang their own verses in the song.
As Dexerto pointed out in a recent article, those verses, specifically Valkyrae’s, weren’t exactly well received by fans.
However, there has been a larger portion of fans that have supported and complimented the song across social media.

Here are some of the comments that Dexerto highlighted in their article:
-
“HAHAHA holy autotune. Let’s hear the live studio takes, hey? Guarantee they’ll sound a lot different.”
-
“I do love my girls, BUT I don’t see the point of editing the voices so much you can’t even recognize them”
- “I love all three of them, but why didn’t you guys just let them use their actual voices instead of all the autotune? “We know Leslie and Ylona have great voices, and I’m sure Rae does too, even though she doesn’t want to admit she does. But this could be so much better, the whole thing sounds forced.”
- “Holey F$ck this is terrible”
At the time of this writing, none of the streamers have responded to the criticism.
