X has cancelled their content deal with news and TV personality Don Lemon and his team who were set to bring their talk show to X in an exclusive deal.
Despite X owner Elon Musk touting the social media platform as a place for “free speech” it seems Musk is the person who determines what that means, and Musk seems intent to phase out any narrative or voices that he doesn’t agree with.
Lemon released the following statement:

Lemon doesn’t shy away from implying that his interview with Musk was what led to the dissolution of their partnership, adding that Musk clearly didn’t like the line of questioning in regards to SpaceX and the presidential election.
Lemon also pointed out how Musk’s team approached him to join X and offered their full support and communicated their promise that they were interested in working directly with new and diverse voices.
Clearly, that only applies if Musk agrees with what you’re saying.
Lemon will likely land a new home fairly soon, but it shines a light on Musk that is less than positive.
