The Amazon owned video game streaming platform Twitch has banned Natalia ‘Alinity’ Mogollon following a recent stream where she was broadcasting reality TV with her community live on her channel, triggering a Digital Millennium Copyright (DMCA) strike.
Twitch, however, has placed in a requirement for Alinity should she want to restore her channel – attend Copyright School.
Alinity shared the email she got from Twitch regarding the ban with the header: “Complete Copyright School to Remove Your Copyright Strike” offered by the platform which is intended to help content creators “understand some copyright basics”, per the email.
“Like driving school, Copyright School is meant to help well-meaning streamers learn the rules.”
It remains to be seen if Alinity will take the steps necessary to restore her channel, or simply bring her content to another platform.
