Popular streamer Dr Disrespect, who is one of the biggest creators on the YouTube platform, has announced that he will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from streaming as allegations surfaced this past weekend.
According to Dexerto, Dr Disrespect maintained his innocence in his first stream since a former Twitch employee shared allegations on social media that shed light as to why Dr Disrespect may have been banned from the Twitch platform back in 2020.
“For those who are looking at me to expand on this weekend, not gonna. I already said what I needed to say. I don’t give a f**k about this guy. That’s it,” Dr Disrespect said during the stream (h/t Dexerto). “I do appreciate the donations. I do appreciate the messages. But I like to put it in fifth gear right off the rip.”
He went on to say that he was feeling “burnt out” before talking about a prolonged break.
“Maybe it’s time to start something new, something different,” he added. “But I think, first and foremost though, I did have a bit of a planned vacation coming up, but I might extend that starting today. It is what it is. People get fatigued. To be honest, I don’t know how long my vacation is, but maybe I extend that. We’ll see.”
